“그대 무슨 생각하는지 모르지만 예수님이 보실 때에 얼굴 붉어질 것 같으면, 

  결코 그 생각일랑 하지 마십시오.”

- I don't know what is on your mind, but if you'd feel shameful when Jesus comprehends 

  your thoughts, please stop thinking about it.

“그대 무슨 말 속삭이는지 모르지만 예수님 듣기 원치 않으시는 것 이걸랑 

  한마디도 말하지 마십시오.”

- I don't know what you are whispering, but if Jesus doesn't want to hear it, 

  please don't talk about it.

“그대 무엇을 쓰는지 모르지만 예수님께 보여드리기 부끄러운 것 이걸랑 

  그대의 펜을 놓고 쓰지 마십시오.”

- I don't know what you are writing, but if you'd feel shameful to show it to Jesus, 

  please never write about it.

“그대 어디를 가든 예수님께로부터 ‘너는 어찌 여기 왔느냐’는 말 듣기 창피하거든 

  한 발자국도 그런 곳에 들여놓지 마십시오.”

- I don't know where you are going to go, but If you'd feel shameful hearing from Jesus,

  "Why did you come here?", please never go there.

“그대가 추구하는 쾌락이 무엇인지 모르지만 예수님이 지금 무엇하고 있느냐?’ 

  물으실 때 깜짝 놀라 움츠려드는 것 이걸랑 거기서 돌아서십시오.”

- I don't know what your pleasures are, but if you'd feel surprised hearing from Jesus, 

  "What are you doing now?", please get away from it.

“그대가 생각하고 말하고 읽고 쓰고 노래하고 걷고 그 무엇을 추구할지라도 

  그것이 집 안이건 집 밖이건 순결하고 정직하게 행하고 십자가 바라보며 사는 사람처럼 

  사십시오.”

- Whatever you are thinking, talking, reading, writing, singing, walking, and so on, 

  please live like a person who fixes his or her eyes on the cross in purity and integrity.
